Prevention
This procedure of reading of codes does not belong to release cars since 1996 which are equipped with OBD-II system. Diagnosing of these cars needs the special scanner, cчитывающий various levels of coded information. In default the board computer, cars are subject to diagnostics in service of car-care center of the dealer or in a specialized workshop.
The system of self-diagnostics which finds is built in the electronic control unit and defines refusals in all network. At failure detection by the control unit, there is a following: the light index of CHECK-ENGINE lights up ("check the engine"), is identified a type of malfunction, diagnostic codes register and brought in memory. The electronic control unit stores the codes of malfunctions appropriated to a concrete type of refusal. These codes are cancelled at change of a safety lock of system of electronic injection of fuel at the switched-off ignition.
The light index of CHECK-ENGINE ("check the engine"), located on the dashboard lights up at ignition key turn, is in the situation ON (the engine does not work). After engine start, the lamp should go out. If the lamp of the index does not die away, it means that the system of self-diagnostics found any refusal. |
