9.17. Switch of headlights of a stoplight

The switch of headlights of a stoplight is established on an arm from above to a brake pedal. The switch includes stoplight headlights behind the car by pressing a brake pedal.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. For check of the switch of headlights of a stoplight check, whether stoplight headlights light up by pressing a pedal of a brake and whether they die away if to release a brake pedal. If is not present, adjust the switch (adjustment of the switch is a part of operation on adjustment of a pedal of a brake) (see subsection 9.16).

2. If headlights still do not light up, means, on the switch tension does not arrive, the switch is faulty, or there is a gap in a chain between the switch and headlights. There is a probability that all bulbs of headlights of a stoplight fused, however, it is improbable.

3. By means of the voltmeter or a control bulb check tension existence on one of the switch parties. If tension is absent, check integrity of a chain from the switch to the block of safety locks. If tension is present, check existence tension on other plug of the switch by pressing a brake pedal. If tension is absent, replace the switch. If tension is present, check integrity of an electric chain from the switch to stoplight headlights (if it is necessary, see subsection 12.25.9).

Replacement

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a wire of the negative plug of the accumulator.

2. Disconnect the socket of connection of the switch of headlights of a stoplight.

3. Turn off a lock-nut and unscrew the switch from a pedal arm.

4. Installation is carried out upside-down removals.

5. Adjust a pedal of a brake and the switch of headlights of a stoplight (see subsection 9.16).
