Prevention
In view of need of use of the special equipment for exact check and adjustment of pressure of brake liquid after installation (or connections) the valve, it is recommended to entrust performance of this work to experts. The description of operations of removal and installation of the valve is provided if it is extremely necessary for you to perform this work. However, on termination of valve installation, it is necessary to address to experts for exact check and adjustment of pressure of brake liquid.
If pressure of brake liquid is not checked and correctly adjusted, efficiency of brakes can be essentially lowered.
Removal
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. Establish the car on a viewing hole or lift it on the lift. It is possible to establish the car also on a platform, however, it is necessary to remember that the car should stand on the wheels horizontally. |
2. To reduce loss of brake liquid, remove a cap of a tank of the main cylinder and put on a polyethylene film a tank mouth. Fix a film by means of an elastic band so that under a film air did not get. |
3. Turn off connections on the ends of brake tubes where they enter into the valve of restriction of pressure. Not to break a side of connections, use a cap wrench at their untwisting. |
4. Disconnect brake tubes from the valve and close their ends for hit prevention in dirt or moisture. |
5. Turn off a lock-nut, an adjusting nut and remove a fixing arm of a spring from a suspension bracket cross-piece. |
6. Turn off three bolts and remove the valve together with a fixing arm. |
|
Installation
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. Establish the valve and twirl three bolts. |
|
2. Establish a fixing arm of a spring and temporarily twirl a lock-nut under an adjusting nut. Rotate an adjusting nut and a lock-nut for installation of initial length of A of a spring, about 41/8 inches (101,6–3,175 mm). Tighten a lock-nut, holding an adjusting nut. |
3. Connect brake tubes and pump over brake system (see subsection 9.12). |
4. Lower the car on the earth and address to experts for check and adjustment of pressure of brake liquid. |
