2.7.7. Check of protective covers of a semi-axis

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. The condition of a protective cover of a semi-axis essentially influences serviceability of the CV JOINT as prevents dirt and water hit on the specified connection.
2. Hit on a cover of greasing causes a premature exit of this detail out of operation therefore it is recommended to wash out a cover water with soap. The external cover wears out (is compressed and stretched) at wheel turn quicker as it is constantly deformed. Therefore the condition of an external cover should be checked regularly.
	3. Wring out folds of a cover of a semi-axis and check existence on covers of mechanical damages (gaps and cracks) and greasing traces, and also durability of fastening of collars. In the presence of damages or greasing covers replace (see subsection 8.3.1).
