2.7.3. Check of fuel system

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. If during driving or after a car parking under the sun the gasoline smell is felt, the fuel system needs urgent check.
	2. Unscrew a stopper of a jellied mouth of a fuel tank and check on it existence of traces of corrosion and laying damage. Get worn-out laying of a stopper of a fuel tank, having carefully hooked it a screw-driver, trying not to damage a stopper. On laying the accurate print of edge of a jellied mouth should be observed. If on laying there are mechanical damages or corrosion traces, laying replace.
3. Check existence of cracks on highways of supply of fuel and the return highway. Be convinced of durability of conic carving connection of a tube of the fuel highway to an injector and cap connections of the fuel filter of the banjo type.
4. The fuel system is best of all for checking when the car is raised by a telfer or established on supports as some details of fuel system, for example the tank and a part of the fuel highway, are from the bottom.
	5. Check, being under the car, a condition of a tank and a mouth pipe. Especially attentively examine connection of a mouth with a tank. Existence of punctures, cracks and mechanical damages is not allowed. Weakening of connection of a rubber pipe of a mouth or deterioration of a condition of rubber can sometimes be the reason of a leak. It is possible to eliminate such defects independently.
Prevention At all do not repair a fuel tank independently (except for replacement of rubber details). Welding or the soldering leads to explosion паров, accumulating in a tank.
6. Carefully examine all rubber hoses and the metal tubes departing from a tank. Check reliability of connections, existence on hoses of wear tracks, a perezhatiya and other damages. Carefully check a condition of tubes of connencting a tank with an injector. If necessary repair the damaged sites of the highway, or replace them (see subsection 5.6).
