3.1.1.8. Cam-shaft epiploon

Replacement

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Uncover heads of the block of cylinders (see subsection 3.1.1.3) and a gear belt (see subsection 3.1.1.6).
2. Fix a cam-shaft of final valves a big rozhkovy key for a six-sided neck and unscrew a bolt of a conducted gear wheel of a cam-shaft, then remove a conducted gear wheel.
3. Define depth of a press fitting of an epiploon, then get an epiploon from the case of the oil pump, having hooked it a small screw-driver or other tool. At extraction of an epiploon do not damage an opening under an epiploon or a surface of a neck of the crankshaft (at crankshaft damage the new epiploon will leak).
4. Clear an opening under an epiploon in the case of the oil pump and slightly oil an external surface of a new epiploon for the engine or universal greasing. Working edges of an epiploon grease with universal greasing.

5. Carefully press a new epiploon into place by means of an opravka with a diameter a little smaller than diameter of an epiploon. To press an epiploon it is possible either a special opravka or a big face head. In the absence of an opravka it is possible to use a piece of a pipe of suitable diameter.
6. Be convinced that the epiploon evenly without distortions came into an opening on the same depth on which it was established before dismantling.

Prevention

To press an epiploon in blows of a hammer it is impossible because of a lack of a place therefore, use mount, having rested it against an arm of an engine mount and operating as with the lever.


7. Establish a leading gear wheel and a gear belt (see subsection 3.1.1.6). Establish a cover of a head of the block of cylinders (see subsection 3.1.1.3).
8. Start the engine and be convinced of lack of a leak of an epiploon.
