Prevention
On these models the safety airbag is established. Watch that a shaft the helmsman of a column did not rotate at removal of steering transfer, otherwise, you can damage system of an airbag of safety. To block a shaft of a steering column, turn a key in the ignition lock in the situation LOCK before the beginning of work or stretch a seat belt through a steering wheel and clasp the seat belt lock as usual.
Removal
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. Turn off nuts of fastening of forward wheels, lift a forward part of the car and establish it on support. Put the car on the hand brake and remove forward wheels. Remove antisplash screens of the engine. |
|
2. If on the car the system of strengthening of a steering is established, establish the pallet under steering transfer. Disconnect tubes of system of strengthening of a steering (are specified by shooters) and close openings of tubes to stop loss of hydraulic liquid and to prevent hit in dirt tubes. |
|
3. Turn off bolts of fastening of a casing of the Universal hinge (only three bolts of fastening of a casing are visible and specified illustrations – actually their five by shooters). Remove a casing of the Universal hinge.

|
4. Note position of the Universal hinge in relation to an entrance shaft of steering transfer and turn off a coupling bolt of the Universal hinge (it is specified by an arrow).
|
| 5. Remove tips of steering drafts from levers of rotary fists (see subsection 10.17). |
|
6. Supporting steering transfer, turn off bolts of fastening of an arm of steering transfer to a body. At first turn off the bottom bolt and the top nut (are specified by an arrow) the right arm of steering transfer, then turn off a nut and a bolt of the left.

| 7. Disconnect an intermediate shaft from an entrance shaft of steering transfer and remove steering transfer. |
Prevention
Do not rotate a steering wheel at removal of steering transfer. If the steering wheel was casually turned, remove a steering wheel and adjust a rope twirled by a spiral (see subsection 10.16).

| 8. Check laying of fastenings of steering transfer on existence of traces of excessive wear or damages and replace them if it is necessary. |
|
Installation
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. Establish steering transfer on a place and connect the Universal hinge, having combined the marks made before removal. |
| 2. Establish fixing arms and bolts and tighten them till the demanded moment of an inhaling (see subsection 10.1). |
| 3. Establish tips of steering drafts on levers of rotary fists (see subsection 10.17). |
4. Establish a coupling bolt of the Universal hinge and tighten it
till the demanded moment of an inhaling (see subsection 10.1). |
| 5. If on the car the system of strengthening of a steering is established, connect hoses of the pipeline of a high pressure and the return pipeline to steering transfer and fill a pump tank with hydraulic liquid of recommended type (see subsection 2.1). |
| 6. Lower the car on the earth and pump over system of strengthening of a steering (see subsection 10.20). |

Replacement of covers of steering transfer
| PERFORMANCE ORDER |
| 1. Turn off nuts, lift the car and establish it on support. Remove a wheel. |
| 2. Remove a tip of steering draft and a lock-nut (see subsection 10.17). |
|
3. Remove a collar on the external end of a cover of steering transfer by means of flat-nose pliers. |
|
4. Cut off a collar since the internal end of a cover by means of nippers. Remove a cover. |
| 5. Before installation of a new cover, wind a carving on the end of steering draft with an isolating tape not to damage a new cover at installation. |
| 6. Put on a new cover steering transfer so that its edge got to a flute on steering draft, and establish new collars. |
| 7. Remove isolating tape and establish a tip of steering draft (see subsection 10.17). |
| 8. Establish a wheel and nuts of fastening of a wheel. Lower the car on the earth and tighten nuts of fastening of a wheel till the demanded moment of an inhaling (see subsection 10.1). |
