10.19. Pump of system of strengthening of a steering

GENERAL INFORMATION

Fastening and connections of the pump of system of strengthening of a steering (on a model example with the engine 4A-FE and 7A-FE)

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect a wire of the negative plug of the accumulator.
Prevention

If the stereoplayer of your car has coding system, check, whether you know a code of activation of a player before an accumulator detachment.


2. By means of a big syringe, extort as much as possible hydraulic liquid from a pump tank. Establish the pallet under the car for collecting hydraulic liquid which will spill at a detachment of hydraulic hoses.
Engines 4E-FE
3. Release a collar and disconnect a hose of the return pipeline from the pump.
4. Turn off a nut of connection of a hose of the pipeline of a high pressure and disconnect a hose from the pump.
5. Disconnect two vacuum hoses from the pump.
6. Turn off a sharnirny bolt (from above) and an adjusting bolt (from below) and remove a driving belt (see subsection 2.6.4). Remove sharnirny and adjusting bolts, then remove the pump from the car.
Engines 4A-FE and 7A-FE
7. Release a collar (it is specified by the left arrow) and disconnect a hose of the return pipeline from the pump of system of strengthening of a steering. Turn off a banjo bolt (it is specified by the right arrow) connections of a hydraulic tube and disconnect a hose of the pipeline of a high pressure from the pump.
8. Remove and utilize copper sealing washers. It is necessary to replace them with new washers at pump installation.
9. Lift a forward part of the car and establish it on support.
10. Under the bottom of the car disconnect two vacuum hoses (are specified by shooters) from the pump of system of strengthening of a steering.
11. Turn off a sharnirny bolt (from below) and an adjusting bolt (from above) and remove a driving belt (see subsection 2.6.4).
12. Remove a sharnirny, adjusting bolt (it is specified by the left arrow) and two bolts on the right (are specified by shooters), then remove the pump from the car.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Installation is carried out upside-down removals. Tighten a bolt of a banjo of connection of the pipeline of a high pressure till the demanded moment of an inhaling (see tab. Moments of an inhaling of carving connections). Adjust a tension of a driving belt, being guided by the instructions provided in (see subsection 2.6.4).
2. Fill in hydraulic liquid in a pump tank to demanded level (see subsection 2.5) and pump over system of strengthening of a steering (see subsection 10.20).
